Clusterpoint is a NoSQL document-oriented database technology, with ACID transaction and full-text search support, available as-a-service in Cloud.
Clusterpoint is a document-oriented database technology for processing of XML and JSON data in a distributed fashion on large clusters of commodity hardware. High-availability architecture of the database blends secure OLTP transactions, fast full-text search and real-time big data analytics in the same code. Clusterpoint Cloud is a database-as-a-service solution, which combines Clusterpoint database technology computational power with its own Cloud infrastructure for database storage.
In contrast to other NoSQL databases, there is no need for developer to search for external database storage provider as Clusterpoint offers its own cloud storage. Therefore, from developer’s perspective, Clusterpoint Cloid offers 2-in-1 - computational resources and the storage solution. Clusterpoint Cloud benefits are instant scalability, cost efficiency (pay-per-use model), and high performance enabled by the patent-pending algorithm.
Clusterpoint was established in 2006. For most of its history Clusterpoint was serving business customers as Enterprise NoSQL database. Since January 2015, Clusterpoint is offering ready to use database as a service (DBaaS).
