This year's last Startup Slalom hackathon will be held from Nov. 10- 12 in Riga. Tech enthusiasts are welcome to register to by Nov. 7th to turn their idea into reality.
The topic of this hackathon will be fintech, and the first place winners can win the grand prize of 1000 euro.
The hackathon's goal is to collaborate in teams to bring a tech-based business slution to life.
How it works
At first all event participatents who have prepared business ideas present them to the others. Afterwards, each participant chooses which idea they want to work on for the subsequent 48 hours. The ideas that garner the most particpant support continue to be developed over the weekend. The finished product (or as finished as they can be) are presented to a jury on the evening of Sunday, November 12.
The event is supplemented by mentors sharing their experience and offeringtheir support to the teams. Mentors will be both local, as well as from abroad. The event will take place in the Stockholm School of Economics.
Who's welcome to participate
Anyone with the following experience is welcome to participate: programmers, designers, IT specialists, finance specialists, marketers, people with business ideas, and entrepreneurs.
All age groups are welcome, and no particular qualificiations are necessary.

Participation in the hackathon is free, and is supported by the LIAA Innovation and Motivation Program and co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund and the EU.
