Latvian and Estonian teams dominate the semi finals of Startup Wise Guys

6 teams from Latvia and 3 from Estonia have been selected for semi finals of B2B accelerator “Startup Wise Guys Riga powered by Lattelecom”.

Other neighbouring countries are also well represented with 2 startups from both Belarus and Ukraine, as well as one team from Hungary and one from Bulgaria. UK, US, India, Netherlands and Turkey also have 1 team selected in the Top20 of B2B startup accelerator program in Riga.

“Estonians have always been the most active to apply, which is logical as the program till now has been located in Tallinn. We are happy to see that opening of Startup Wise Guys program in Riga has continued stirring up the CEE region and we have received high quality applications. In coming years we hope to attract other geographically more distant and culturally diverse countries to whom Baltics can serve as the perfect launch pad,” says Cristobal Alonso, SWG Global CEO.

Program received 137 applications from 20 countries. On August 23 and 24 “SWG Riga powered by Lattelecom” top 20 applicants will be going through interview sessions and participating in activities together with more than 25 mentors and investors while having the chance to meet the accelerator team, see premises and the local ecosystem.

Only the best 8 will get the chance to go through 3 months long accelerator program with access to top notch international mentors, investors and alumni companies, strong curriculum and modern co-working premises.
