An Estonian-Latvian startup Sonocase, developer of smart connected audio accessory family Ampple, is launching its equity fundraising campaign on Funderbeam, the leading Baltic equity crowdfunding site.
The new capital of €75,000 will be used to finalize prototyping of the first hardware product Ampple for iPad and secure first product orders from major US electronics retailers that already have indicated their interest in rolling the product out into the market.
This round follows last year’s sucessful campaign of Ampple for iPad on Indiegogo with over 500 units of product pre-ordered. Products developed by Sonocase have also been recognized by the heavyweights of global electronics industry, achieving certification of well-known component supplier Arrow Electronics, as well as being selected for manufacturing colaboration by Foxconn, world’s largest contract manufacturer of consumer electronics.
Sonocase also is a proud alum of Buildit – Europe’s Hardware and Creative Industries’ accelerator based in Tartu.
“We are just a step away from launching of smart, connected audio hardware into retail, and we’re confident that bringing a tailored sound experience to mobile devices proves to be a great investment opportunity,” said Viesturs Sosārs, CEO of Sonocase. “My experience on audio technology market lasting for over 10 years, has inspired our team to develop the concept of highly personalizable, high quality portable sound for watching movies, playing music and games on mobile screens.”
Indars Aščuks, an early backer of the campaign, explains his rationale behind becoming an investor of Sonocase equity round: “Besides the obvious investment decision making factors as a great team and strong product vision that Sonocase clearly possesses, I’m particulary fond of the idea of improving of the early-stage investment liquidity through secondary trading opportunities, a feature unique to Funderbeam’s marketplace platform. It just resonates so well with my experience and expertise of stock markets, and I’m looking forward to a profitable investment journey here.”
Sonocase equity campaign has demonstrated a strong start as 40% of the minimum funding target have already been commited in the first 12 hours after the campaign’s beginning.
Founded in 2015, Sonocase aims to re-segment the sound experience on mobile screens through creating of application-enabled audio accessories for watching movies and TV, as well as playing music and games on iPhones and iPads.
